Sourcing

Coffee is the world's most highly traded commodity after oil. Twenty-five million families in more than fifty countries rely on it for their livelihoods. Coffee is often their main or only source of income.

Green Coffee

Our supplier buys green coffee from traceable sources. This means we know where our coffee comes from, where it was grown, who by and under what conditions.

Certification

Here at YUM we take our responsibility seriously and proudly serve freshly ground coffee which is Fairtrade, organic and Rainforest Alliance certified.

Fairtrade

Fairtrade guarantees the farmers receive a minimum price of $1.26 per pound of coffee.

Organic

Organic certification means our fairtrade coffee is organically grown and roasted. The organic premium that we pay on our coffee, guarantees farmers additional income.

Rainforest Alliance

This certifies that wildlife is protected, rivers are kept clean and natural resources are conserved. It is widely considered to be the gold standard in environmental certifications for coffee growing.

Tea

The tea we purchase is from traceable sources and our supplier is a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership. This ensures that workers are treated fairly and that a safe working environment exists.
