Here at YUM we take our corporate social responsibility seriously:
Packaging
Our disposable packaging is either recyclable or biodegradable. Each of our cafes has recycling bins, so make sure you fill the recycle bins and not landfill sites!
Red is for plastic bottles and cans
Blue is for paper and cardboard, so put all your sandwich packs and cups in here.
Black is for all the bits we can't recycle and therefore goes to landfill.
Triple Certification
Where possible our products are Fairtrade, organic and rainforest alliance certified.
Local Produce
Our food and ingredients are locally sourced, organic, Fairtrade wherever possible. Why not try our chocolate and beetroot cake from the Cake Root in Northumberland. This is a company that was set up by two sisters and whose philosophy is 100% natural, local and eco friendly products. Our bread is delivered fresh daily by a local County Durham baker.
